Robert Paun

Tier 1 Team Driver

I started out Simracing about 3 years on AC when I was 12 and have been racing RF2 for the last 2 years. I started my own team called G-force Racing Team which then merged and became SimApex who still race against Rookie Monsters in the tier one CFS series. I was spotted by Mantas Rekus who has helped develop me into the driver I am today and we now share cars and wins in the CFS series, although I recently cost us a joint win with a debatable penalty late in the Mid Ohio round where we got demoted to 3rd with a 5 second penalty. I am also an admin at ARL endurance league which is a successful endurance series with a very popular calendar.

Preferred race number; 6

Proudest Simracing achievement; WSCC Season 4 CFS Spa Win. Exactly 1 year after my RM debut, same car, same track, same league. After #01 (sister car) DNF’d with a paddle shifter failure and then Cliff van der Vin had a screen freeze in the last sector of the last lap and it was myself and Wouter de Bruijn who were ready to mop up the very unexpected race win in the last sector.

Funniest Simracing moment; Same as above I just could not believe that we won – I was so happy and laughing so hard.

Simulators raced; Rfactor 2, sometimes ACC for fun

My rig setup; Fanatec CSL base/pedals, Formula v2 Rim, GT Omega ART and a ultrawide monitor from LG. I have it in my own room

Favourite car; Oreca 07

My preferred car class; Prototype all the way

Favourite track; Le Mans / Spa

My RM driver stats below; found out why we do them and have a go at scoring yourselfhttps://rookiemonsters.com/driver-stats/
